Leylah Fernandez won her opening match at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Sunday, defeating Austrian qualifier Julia Grabher 6-4, 6-2. The 20-year-old from Laval, Que., will face top-ranked Iga Swiatek of Poland in the second round on Tuesday.
